Ong Tee Keat says there are too many enemies in politics but only competitors when doing business. ongteekeat

PETALING JAYA: Former MCA president Ong Tee Keat revealed today he has received offers to rejoin politics but had declined these offers.“I have forgotten politics. Now, I am involved in business,” he said.

Declining to reveal those who made the offer, the 63-year-old said in politics there are a lot of enemies but in business there are only competitors. He was speaking to reporters after a memorandum of understanding between The Royal Bumbon Resort Holdings and Resorts Savers Inc. The 37ha project, costing RM1.2 billion, involves developing a modern cancer and stem cell centre with resorts and a Malaysia MySecond Home centre in Bumbon Island, Langkawi.The 61-year-old had served as Ampang Jaya MP for five terms.

Ong was appointed transport minister after the 2008 general election and was elected MCA president the same year.
