Defining the News

Cisco signed a new memorandum of understanding with PLDT Enterprise, the corporate arm of the Philippines’ leading integrated telecommunications network, PLDT Inc., with the aim to collaborate on Private 5G adoption across the Manufacturing, Financial Services, Port Operations and Logistics, Healthcare, Retail, and Smart Cities sectors.

Together, the companies can rapidly enable critical Industry 4.0 capabilities such as push-to-talk, automated guided vehicles , always connected PCs , machine vision and more. Leveraging PLDT’s Internet of Things solution, these initiatives aim to significantly improve operational efficiency, drive innovation, reduce costs and contribute to the overall success of businesses undergoing digital transformation.“Together with PLDT Enterprise, we aim to help our customers accelerate digital transformation, with the power of 5G and Wi-Fi across IT and OT operations,” said Jonathan Davidson, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Cisco Networking.
