THE Philippine unit of Cargill recently marked its 75th year of operating in the country and reaffirmed its commitment to investing around $2.6 billion in projects to enhance the livelihood of Filipino farmers.

As part of its 75th year celebration, Cargill Philippines launched a tree-planting initiative, engaging all business units nationwide from October 2023 to February 2024. Partnering with local government units, communities and nongovernmental organizations, Cargill Philippines planted a total of 7,500 trees, emphasizing the 75 years the company has been operating in the Philippines.

With safety as a top priority, Cargill Philippines has achieved an impressive 32 million safe man-hours, maintaining a clean record of zero incidents and fatalities. 'Our commitment has always been to nourish the world in a safe, responsible way. This starts with putting our people first at the heart of our operations,' Cachapero said, emphasizing Cargill's people-centered approach.
