It's no secret at this point that Samsung may have taken some 'creative liberties' with the design of the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Buds 3 lineup. Clearly, this did not fly with the higher-ups in the company, to the point that the chairman of the Korean tech giant is incandescent and is already bearing down on the people responsible.

According to the Korean new outlet, AjuNews, Samsung Electronics' Chariman, Jay Y. Lee, was far from pleased that folks the world around were accusing his company's design division, Samsung MX, of copycatting the design from its rival, Apple. The news outlet reported that Lee 'stepped in after the controversy over Apple's design plagiarism and quality issues surrounding the Buds 3 series and Galaxy Watch 7 released last month. The internal atmosphere is currently very bad'.

To bring you up to speed, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 series and Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Pro launched last month. Both products courted a degree of controversy after it was pointed out by many viewers and fans that they are strikingly similar to Apple's AirPods, AirPods Pro, and Watch Ultra. Adding insult to injury, the Buds 3 Pro were mired with several issues with its quality, ranging from brittle ear tips that tore right off if not removed properly, malfunctioning LEDs, and audio delivery issues. The problems were so bad, that it had no choice but to halt shipments and delay the rollout to a later date.

Issues with the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra were less severe and more minor, in that sense. By that, we mean that one of the only complaints that seems to have risen about it is that the paint used was peeling off. Again, not a big issue but when something retails at RM3,399, it's not the sort of issue you'd expect to crop up.
