As the U.S. continues to step up its efforts to limit China's growth, the global industry has shown a degree of reluctance. These restrictions cover worldwide exports, but adds exemptions for countries that add similar controls, such as Japan and the Netherlands have done in the past. The department's Bureau of Industry and Security expects more countries will move to impose similar measures.
