KUALA LUMPUR: Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings , already under scrutiny for allegedly operating illegal welfare homes, is now being investigated as an organised crime syndicate, according to Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

Razarudin stated that GISB executive chairman and CEO Datuk Nasiruddin Mohd Ali is among those who will be summoned for questioning as part of the investigation. “When there are crimes involving sexual assaults against children and human trafficking, is it necessary for us to discuss it first? Razarudin said apart from the criminal elements in the case, police investigations will also look into other aspects, including the legality of the child care centres.
