Nottinghamshire

The Victorian home is well known in the village for the unusual reason

This detached house is known as the"donkey house" after the previous owner kept his donkeys there for years and people would stop by to see and feed them. On Saturday, June 14, 2014 there was even a Donkey day at the property, where families gathered on the site for a day of fun to raise money for various donkey-related charities.

The 35-year-old explained:"We have lived in the property for the last two years and renovated it over a year which is now all complete. The previous owner had it all of his life and it was abandoned for two years which is when we bought it. "We spent around £150,000 to get it to the standard it is now." Now completely transformed to how it was just a few years ago, the house has even been featured in the English Homes magazine.
