7.40 - More than 100 Irish companies secured ESA support in 2023 A total of 109 Irish companies were awarded contracts from the European Space Agency over the course of 2023, a report from Enterprise Ireland has said. A total of 25 companies were “supported in developing products and technologies” in a range of sectors, including telecommunications, earth observation and space exploration.7.25 - Asian markets update Asian stocks fluctuated after another record high on Wall Street. MSCI’s Asia Pacific Index rose as much as 0.7 per cent on the back of the chip sector, with the likes of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company leading the advance, then erased those gains.
