Laure Brumpton, 34, and her husband Alan, 37, were enjoying a day out at Nottingham 's Christmas markets when they decided to buy their two children a festive hot dog treat.

A family were left mortified after they were charged an eyewatering £618 for two hotdogs at a popular Christmas market.

However, Mr Brumpton was left shocked when instead of being charged the expected amount of £18 it instead cost over £600. Over a week since Mr Brumpton paid for what has already been dubbed 'the UK's most expensive hot dog' Mrs Brumpton claimed they are still waiting for a refund.In the video, the vendor can be seen holding the card reader as she repeatedly says 'sorry'.

'We were still charged for the sausages. I thought, especially because it was for the kids, I thought they'd at least get a free sausage. It was just a very expensive family day out. The kids actually said they tasted good.'
