Boris Johnson has attempted to mend some fences with the business community.

His infamous expletive caused widespread shock within industry and highlighted for many how relations had soured between business and the party that used to be its natural champion.

He was his usual charismatic self and he struck a positive note for the commercial future of the UK and the role of business as being seen as a force for good. That all went down very well.Mr Johnson's plan appeared to be to defer the negotiations over the problematic Irish backstop till after the UK leaves the EU on 31 October.

One attendee I spoke to felt that"his heart wasn't in that comment", another said,"the look in his eyes made you question whether he really meant that".

bbclaurak Monty Python’s Tory Circus rolls on, overburdened with clowns, tight rope walkers and jugglers! It would be funny if they were not about to take the UK down the tubes!

FuckBusiness & FuckBoris

Memo...

R U KIDDING Boris Johnson published a poem joking about the 'extermination' of the 'verminous' Scottish people

He’s not charismatic, he’s an egotistical, narcissistic pathological liar! Is Borisism the new code for being offensive & lacking all empathy and decorum? Stop painting him to be something he’s not!

The fool some people all of the time and all people some of the time candidate is out fooling business people today.

'I have no idea what you people do..?'

bbclaurak Has the man who had two conflicting newspaper articles on Which side to join in the Referendum now got three different speeches on his Brexit Solutions depending on the audience?

No doubt shitty BBC have been selective in what they report

bbclaurak I will let you as multinationals pay no tax and treat your workers as bad as you like whilst I let the rich have a tax cut?

bbclaurak Boris Johnson said 'f**k the families' when 7/7 happened and the BBC haven't reported it.

“and attendees I've spoken to were prepared to believe that his comment was indeed an off-the-cuff Borisism.” Why on earth would they believe him? It’s straight out of the Trump playbook: say something, complain it’s been taken out of context and change to something else

I am abroad at the moment and I don't think I want to come home. What has our country come to when this leadership rabble and other directionless MPs in other colours are on display to the world through social media. Monty Python or Spitting image material for sure

“And you don’t even have to pay maintenance for them if you don’t admit they exist” whereswally missfathersdaydebategoingroundtheestste

bbclaurak I f***ing hate cheese. That does not mean I don’t like it.

😬👀

Lies, lies, flim flam and lies?

Whatever they wanted to hear?
