Married at First Sight star in court over investment scam

A reality television groom, a former Gold Coast detective and a bikie associate have appeared in court over their alleged involvement in a multi-million dollar fraud.

The men are among 12 co-accused charged over an alleged telemarketing scam that raked in between $15 million and $20 million from 600 victims.AAp Image/Darren Englandcontestant Daniel Philip Webb, former detective Michael Featherstone and bikie associate Jason Troy Trouchet appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.

Previous charges laid against Mr Webb, Mr Featherstone and most of their co-accused were dismissed during the hearing before new offences were brought.Police began investigating the alleged cold-calling scheme in 2013, and allege Mr Webb dishonestly gained a benefit for a number of companies between September 2012 and August 2014.

He is facing charges of fraud along with Kirsty Maria Lester, Patrik Rasmus Goransson, Charlie Mikael Gorannson Featherstone, his son Zach Michael Featherstone, Mr Trouchet, Robert John Doueihi, Travis Charles Burch, Vincent Alexander McDonald, Douglas Owen Traynor and Natchamon Srisunanrat are charged with fraud and money laundering.
