As the first week of the civil trial in Austin concluded, Jones’s attorney, F. Andino Reynal, told the courtroom that his client’s media company, Free Speech…

“Just two days before jury selection is due to begin in Connecticut, Mr. Jones has once again fled like a coward to bankruptcy court in a transparent attempt to delay facing the families that he has spent years hurting,” Mattei said in a statement. “These families have an endless well of patience and remain determined to hold Mr. Jones accountable in a Connecticut court.”

Judges in Connecticut and Texas have found Jones liable for damages in lawsuits stemming from his false claims. In default judgments against Jones and Infowars last October, District Judge Maya Guerra Gamble of Travis County, Texas, ruled that Jones did not comply with court orders to give information in a pair of 2018 lawsuits brought against him by the families of two children killed in the 2012 massacre.

During jury selection this week, Reynal told the Austin courtroom that the founder of Infowars “has medical issues” that could keep him from showing up during parts of the trial, even though he “has no obligation to be here.” While Reynal did not specify what “medical issues” could prevent the 48-year-old from attending the trial in person, Jones has previously blamed stress and cardiovascular effects from his coronavirus infection for missing depositions in the Connecticut trial last year.

Jerking off stalefish!!!

It goes well with his moral bankruptcy.

Disgusting man

I hope that disgusting man has to live under a bridge with a garbage bag as a bed the rest of his useless life. That would be karma.

Justice for the Sandy Hook families. I can’t imagine the pain they’ve gone though.

Anything to avoid paying

Appeasing gun nuts, by calling real school shootings fake and a govt conspiracy to take away American's guns... makes Jones a certifiable kook. His contribution to January 6 makes him dangerous. Lock him up.

Assets protection move. Jones should be penniless if justice works at all

He’s depraved. What a bunch of bs!!

Most Canadian media would be bankrupt if they hadn't been bought and paid for by the fascist liberal government .

Lol of course it does. To become judgement proof. It doesnt show guilt just good business sense. Open up as something else after these stupid and ridiculous accusarions are gone

Really bad for freedom of speech

Alex Jones' company files for bankruptcy amid Texas trial to award damages to Sandy Hook familiesRight-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' primary company filed for bankruptcy protection on Friday, an unexpected move that comes as a trial is underway in Texas to determine how much in damages he will have to pay the families of two Sandy Hook victims who sued and won a default judgment against him. Sham of a trial. Wait, there wasn’t one and the judge wouldn’t let the Jones have a defense. Kangaroo court proceeding. Hopefully he will come back stronger from this.
