Founded and continues to serve as board chairman of the Monique Burr Foundation for Children, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to protect children and teens from victimization; served on Florida State University Board of Trustees for more than 10 years.
While those issues remain, the market is starting to slow down, and Burr said it's important to be prepared and stay level headed. He managed that through economic ups and downs and later founded Greenpointe in 2008 as the country was dealing with a recession.
