The owner of a silo manufacturing plant remembers the WA father who was fatally shot as a 'fantastic fella', while saying he finds it hard to 'resent' the co-worker who pulled the trigger.

The owner of a silo manufacturing business where a WA father was fatally shot by his co-worker has remembered the victim as a "non-confrontational bloke" who will be "missed in so many ways".

With his long service leave due this year, Mr Moylan said Mr Czernowski had been planning to take some time off with his young daughter, who will now grow up without him.He described his killer, Lachlan Bowles, as another "important member" of their team who had worked there for about three or four years."This is with the utmost respect to both families involved; it's pretty hard to resent the guy that caused this huge event," Mr Moylan said.

"They chucked Terry in the ute to try and get him to hospital, and that's going to be traumatic for the fellas involved for years to come," he said. "But, you know, all we can do is just say, 'You did the right thing, there's nothing else you could have done and you reacted in Terry's best interests and that's all we can ask.'"Mr Moylan said they were trying to keep the wheels of the business turning as they continued building silos for the harvest.
