Popeyes is trolling Chick-fil-A by specifically recruiting sandwich makers to work on Sundays

Popeyes has put several classified ads in national newspapers that advertise job openings for employees to work specifically on Sundays, a day that its rival, Chick-fil-A, is famously closed. The ads ran on Sunday in The New York Times, New York Post, Boston Globe, and Miami Herald.Job requirements include experience cooking chicken sandwiches and availability on Sundays.An ad that ran in The New York Times.

The spokesperson added: "Job requirement highlights include people who have previous experience cooking chicken sandwiches for other restaurants the other six days of the week." Tensions between Popeyes and Chick-fil-A have been high since August, when Popeyes added a chicken sandwich to its menu and challenged the dominance of Chick-fil-A in the category.
