Public Broadcaster warns against false SABC News Facebook account

The account earlier posted that the 2019 Matric results, to be announced next week, are the worst ever. The public broadcaster says the account does not belong to the organisation and distances itself from the contents of the page.Acting Spokesperson, Mmoni Seapolelo.

“This account posted misinformation relating to the 2019 Matric Results which are due to be announced by the Minister of Basic Education on Monday. The SABC would also like to make an appeal to the public not to create misinformation accounts in the name of the organisation as the spreading of false and inaccurate information has the potential to create anxiety and confusion in the public space.:”
