The king says if we fail to act against illegal initiation schools many young men will avoid initiation.pose a big threat to the cultural practice of circumcision in the country. He has called on communities to take a stand against illegal initiation schools.

At least 27 young men died in various initiation schools in the Eastern Cape – some of which were illegal schools. King Zwelithini was addressing hundreds of community members as he welcomed over 200 young men returning from six initiation schools in Kokstad, southern KwaZulu-Natal. He says if communities and officials fail to act against illegal initiation schools, many young men will avoid initiation.“People should not keep quiet when their children are dying. The world is watching us South Africa. They will mock our cultural practice of initiation if our young men continue to die like this. These young men are not chickens, they are humans. Why do people keep quiet when such things happen,” he questioned.

26-year-old Vuyolwethu Ndubani spent his festive holiday season undergoing initiation. He described the process as life-changing.Ndubani says this practice can play a pivotal role in addressing the scourge of gender-based violence.

The Zulu King and the Mpondoz have an old relationship, the King somehow spent his childhood years growing up with the late Xhosa King, Isilo might have gone to initiation with the Xhosaz ( remember what was said at the Chosa Kings funeral).

Isilo is correct.

Only those who have been brainwashed will avoid ukwaluka in Xhosa you are not complete if uyinkwenkwe you will never have a wife and you will never even be allocated a space in rural areas to build a home you will be laughing stocking of everybody

He usually say in Zulu ,'mina angizikhulumi indaba zabantu' why now speak on something you know nothing about, all those who have grown up and stay in places where thier fore fathers, fathers, brothers and neighbours doing this thing called ukwaluka will never avoid it

Since when Zulu nation or king speak about this...it seems like is interfering on ather ppl's matter. We never go to their invent including INKATHA FREEDOM PARTY.

Good because who can his child where she or he knows it's risk.

Give BACK THE LAND TO YOUR ZULU PEOPLE and then give your two pence advice on initiation!!!
