Jonathan Moukhtafi, a chiropractor in Coconut Creek, Fla., isn’t big on spending time at shopping malls. But he finds himself going most every week to the Coral Creek Shops.
“My bank is there, my wife’s hair stylist is there, I send packages from there,” said Mr. Moukhtafi, who lives less than a mile away. “Things are close, I like that.”
In our area they are dying like malls . I see more strip malls empty and getting torn down . More upscale apartments built
Full circle. Strip malls were abandoned in favor of malls, and now malls are declining, and strip malls are rising, in part because of their convenience. For merchants, rents can be cheaper. I seldom go to the mall because they don't have what I want, and I'm told to go online
I don't know about other strip centers, but the only stores in my area that can make it are restaurants, supermarkets, dry cleaners and real estate agents.
Malls are infested with creeps aggressively pushing perfumes. It is like walking about a 3rd world market.
Fewer gangs of teenagers.
Too lazy to walk the mall is my guess. Next is drive thru.
