February 11, 2020, 2:55 PMCatch up on the developing stories making headlines.A federal judge in New York has approved the merger of T-Mobile and Sprint in a controversial decision Tuesday, siding with the telecom giants over awho were suing to block two of the largest wireless carriers in the U.S. from combining.
Meanwhile, Ajit Pai, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission argued the the exact opposite, calling the decision a"big win for consumers." "This transaction represents a unique opportunity to speed up the deployment of 5G throughout the United States, put critical mid-band spectrum to more productive use, and bring much faster mobile broadband to rural Americans," he added.. The merger has also secured the green light from the Justice Department.
Sprint was a dying company with horrific treatment to the customers and loads of empty promises. T-Mobile will strengthen this failing company so that consumers can have more for what they pay.
Why would we applaud Dish using the Colorado government to get a foothold in the wireless industry? This isn't capitalism. This is cronyism.
Holy shit
So what happens to the stock price?
Damnit now it’s time to change over to Boost mobile 🤦🏾♂️
So... Tint Mobile? TintMobile
The best thing that happen to sprint 🙄
Stop monopolies !
We go through cycles of merging industry Giants to make Mega industry Giants. We then Decide it's much too big and we break them up again. I think this one will be a nightmare.
I wonder how their gonna fuck us over now? 🙄
If t mobile raise my price, I will drop them like a bad habit
Somebody got a kickback. When I mean somebody I meant Some Body of Government.
$$$$$$$
Honestly they aren’t even a monopoly. Had AT&T & Verizon merges, that’s scary. But those two, maybe they’ll form a company with actual data.
Federal judge reviewing anti-trust legislation while deliberating this case
So much for the good T-Mobile pre paid plans....
Congrats on making one big garbage company with crappy service?
Sorry T-Mobile customers you are now screwed with Sprint.
I just hope less choices don't drive the price up
Tried them both. They sucked for me. Maybe together they can get a single somewhere outside of a city.
Antitrust laws are for gumps anyways, amirite? Gotta look out for the billionaires
Fantastic News for consumers!!! Less choices.
So all the donations, trips to the hotels and buckets of greasy grift paid off .
Trust me I have had sprint... there is no worry about them doing anything substantial no matter how big they get...
