Former Speaker of the House Bronwyn Bishop says she “honestly could not believe a Liberal government would suggest compulsory tracking of all our citizens”.

“That’s what happens in China,” she told Sky News host Gary Hardgrave. “That’s the sort of thing that happens in totalitarian states and not in a freedom-loving country like ours”. Ms Bishop said “Malcolm Turnbull brought socialism into the Liberal Party and the legacy of that has to be buried”.

“He’s the one who made us completely reliant on China, he’s the one who signed the French submarine deal, he’s the one who ratified the Paris agreement and he’s the one who made the doctrine of climate change one that decimated our industry”. According to Ms Bishop, “freedom is a word that gets bandied around but what I mean by it is that individuals are able to use their own skills and abilities to do something that is beneficial for themselves and for this country as well”.

BronwynBishop...

Where's the ABC crowd in the coments raging over their hero Loopy Andrews I was looking forward to having a chuckle...before i deleted them, forever

Choppers are generally out of mobile range, so no need to panic Bron. Come to think of it, God's country is also on a different planet so a 2x win.

Bronwyn, surely by now you realise that the so called governments of individual countries have relinquished their sovereignty and are adhering to the whim of their masters NWO

I know you rather stay home unemployed receiving government benefits, but just it doesn't have money for that. People needs to come back to work and not die....

We need to save lives. People should stay focused. It hasn’t hit us yet.

Very disturbing and worrying development. Our privacy is at the hand of the gov’t. No way I’ll support that

It's to help those who do tracing work alert all close contacts. Gov isn't interested in citizen's private lives. We are not China

Nice headline. I'm trying to put it together with comments by Bronwyn Helicopter Bishop and policy from the LNP Government and admit I'm stumped.

Here’s a thought...offer it to people who Have tested Positive ...derrr 25million don’t need it

I hope she refused to receive any socialist payment recently provided to Australians by their government.

MsRonnyB Where's Bronnies anger at the SOCIALISM used by Morrison to save Australian economy?!?

I don't think they're planning to track helicopter travel.

Can s/ome please ask the NSW Gov if they are instructing their lawyers to refuse legal claims that 2 weeks ago they were taking discussing written offers of settlement to help with the costs of COVID. Have docs to prove. Agreed to mediate now complete b/flip w/out reason. DM

Unconstitutional! Simple.

Wow, she really did drink the Liberal Coolaid. Next she’ll be saying she never thought the Liberals would be terrible economic managers... auspol Illjusttakethehelicopter

This is just the beginning. Be afraid - very afraid.

What, she can't believe that a LiberalAus government can be f$&Ed in the head?

A key problem will be getting old people to know how to download and install an app. Not to mention the stupid.

I hope she's right.
