Business owners and bosses are now, more than ever, working hard to create corporate cultures that are supportive of employee’s multi-faceted lives. Supporting your employees by encouraging free time, will not only boost morale, but creativity, motivation and loyalty.

“Nobody wants to work in an environment based on ‘do as I say, not as I do.’ If you want to build a corporate culture that encourages free time, you need to demonstrate that for all of your employees. “We have a ‘forced-firm-fun’ day every other month with our team members, where one employee plans an activity they love to share with the group. The group participates in the activity, goes to dinner, and the firm pays for the events, so we can have fun together! We’ve done yoga, gone to a pumpkin farm, participated in crafts, and more,” shares Berardi.

While you don’t have to treat your employees like your best friends , it’s all about creating an environment that is relaxed, engaging, dedicated to doing great work, and encouraging free time.
