Microsoft, Nike, Starbucks, Unilever and five other industry heavyweights are teaming up in a plan called ‘Transform to Net Zero’ to help businesses globally achieve zero carbon emissions

) and five other industry titans from various sectors are teaming up to help businesses globally achieve zero carbon emissions.

Called “Transform to Net Zero”, the group plans to recruit other members and will work with the Environmental Defense Fund and focus on delivering guidance, research and blueprints for businesses to achieve zero carbon emissions no later than 2050. The announcement gave no details of any investment the companies would make, outlining only initial research and other work to be completed over the next five years.

Some aims for net zero carbon emissions include reductions across the entire value chain, including impact of products and services, and the substantial commitment and willingness to invest in and speed innovation.

Is Starbucks going to serve you their coffee in your hands? Utterly rediculous - being played by a 16 year old nut bar!

R O F L

So the companies are no longer going to use airplanes.

Right, just a way to gain more power. Eliminate competitors who cannot afford it. End jobs for millions of workers while they live in multiples of big houses, drive their custom gas-guzzling cars, and fly around on Gulfstreams. For thee but not for me.

Does this mean they will also allow consumers to ship old shoes they produce to them free of charge closing the loop from manufacturer to waste item? Probably not.

It will be too late till 2050.

I wonder if nike will stop using slave labor, probably not

The only way to save the environment is to vote for JoeBiden even dogs know it!

Too late

R U kidding? Zero carbon emission? How? Do U know what is manufacturing? It's nothing wrong with carbon. But massively excessive CO2 an do harm to nature. Could they study more in science? They don't know what's happening.

yes, all companies that dont exploit the poor or the environment... allegedly.

Zero carbon emmison? Maybe we can stop breathing 🤓

Why don’t they stop worrying of Carbon at this moment and focus on Zero Unemployment in post Covid-19 era? This is winthin their CSR policy isn’t it?

but watch carefully the video , you ll see more degenerated loser together than in a jail

We still live with the killer of Robert Dönngos where she have a statement will run on radio after while keep updated

Let’s focus on pedophilia. That’s what is at stake in our country.

WE ARE ALL HAPPY WITH THIS, OF COURSE IF IT DON'T DESTROY OUR ECONOMY AND OUR WAY OF LIFE. CHANGING THE WAY OF LIFE IS ONLY GOOD UP, NOT SAIDE WAY.

HAHAHAHA... Corps make me laugh... just PAY THE TAXES in all countries you operate!!

The only way is to go all nuclear power! When will all these tre huggers finally understand this. Sun and wind cannot do it on their own

Wait wait wait , let us go out of the pandemic and later think of 2050

While China keeps polluting unchecked.

2050.... that’s still a ways off. Shouldn’t we be trying for 2030 or even 2035! Lots of irreversible damage will be done in 30 years.

Are sweatshops green, or is that something they’ll be working on?

This is a big joke.

Would rather they focus on zero sexual harassment and racism in hiring practices, but that’s just me.

What a joke… All these companies employee under age children in sweat shops, pay 2.00 an hour but yet they’re worried about their carbon footprint. How about some focus on human rights issues?

A mere thirty years from now....still the beating of my heart

Forgive me for being sceptical.

Wonder when they add “net zero slave labor” to their collective moralism.

0 carbon emission Good point ... stop breathing guys !!

rubbish

The cause of the problem (corporations) masquerading as the solution.

When Microsoft, Nike, Starbucks and Unilever and ‘industry heavyweights’ are pushing your agenda, you might want to double check that you are not pushing their agenda. Looks like environmentalism has been co-opted by Heavy Industry to me. Just a thought.

It isn’t their job. Their job is selling cheap crap. Finding solutions to the climate crisis is the job of the United Nations.

shit, we had netzero back in 1998 and nobody liked it!

By 2050? So they’re making vague promises about things they’re going to achieve in 30 years?!? Oh, go ahead, guys. No rush.

Some of the biggest polluters on the planet. Too little too late

Yeh right! Too late

What he did this time?

Really?

Work harder, child slave! Gretta needs retweets NOW!

Just cynical greenwashing.

Lan bunda bile greta videosu koymuşsunuz. Greta greyfrut’da vitaminken bu şirketler sustainable, çevre dostu üretim konuşuyordu. Haberin gretayla ne alakası var?

Did they turn up late to the wrong party? Doooohhh

30 years What a 💩💩 plan! They all should shoot for 2025 max! What's really stopping them?

Stop using slaves Nike

Awesome news!!! These companies are finally bringing their factories back home. Our factories pollute a lot less than Chinese factories. No more transoceanic shipping is also a win for the environment. And no more Western population growth via legal and illegal immigration.

Now to forced labor.

It's the dumbest and most unrealistic thing I ever heard of. Climate alarmism is a corporatist scam to MONOPOLIZE the energy industry, not make it cleaner. Wake up you slobbering spoon fed masses.

They should start in the U.S., honestly.

Are they using Neil Ferguson's fkd up models for that too?
