Carter wasn’t just the first Clinton but, in terms of grass-roots donors, the first Bernie Sanders. He leveraged rock in ways no one had done before., Carter seemed to pay virtually no price; if anything, he reveled in it.
Carter was going down as the worst president ever until Obama became the worst.
