Sky News host Paul Murray says Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan has hidden behind his state’s hard border as a way of “covering all sins” while his chief health officer reportedly advised the border should be opened in certain instances. It comes after the Sydney Morning Herald reported Premier McGowan’s hard border claims have been contradicted by the Chief Health Officer Andy Robertson.

“In South Australia the virus does not exist, it does not exist in the Northern Territory, it does not exist in most of New South Wales, Victoria is doing much better than some parts of New South Wales and Queensland is clean as a whistle,” Mr Murray said. “If you want to talk about Melbourne and you want talk about Sydney, fine.

MarkMcGowanMP So the West Australian Chief Health Officer tells a parliamentary inquiry today the border doesn't need to be closed. But we can't see the footage because Premier MarkMcGowanMP is a magician and made it disappear.

MarkMcGowanMP The WA liberals are facing extinction. Is that why you are upset? It's only polling Paul. Maybe you could see your mate Palmer and force the borders open, Morrison could team up too? WA Liberals face sombre election prospects amid leadership rumblings

MarkMcGowanMP Fully supported by federal Labor.
