One of Uber's top dealmakers, who orchestrated some of its biggest acquisitions, is leaving the company

An Uber spokesperson confirmed the exit and added in a statement:"We are grateful for Jeremy's contributions over the years and wish him all the best." The company did not comment on Fine's next move. A person familiar with the matter said Fine was leaving for a new role as an executive at a startup in the crypto space.

Uber's corporate development team is fairly lean by tech company standards at fewer than 10 people. The previous head of the unit, Madhu Kannan, quietly left the group last year. Since then, Fine had been reporting directly to CFO Nelson Chai. Uber has been as much a seller as an acquirer in recent years. It offloaded assets including ATG and stakes in businesses like its
