KUALA LUMPUR: All government-linked companies and government-linked investment companies must appoint a Malaysian Trade Union Congress representative to their board of directors, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob .
"It is the hope of the government that the worker's representative will also play a role in administrative matters soon," he said in his address at the Malaysian Trades Union Congress triennial delegates conference on Saturday . He then said that MTUC-linked workers must always preserve stability, unity and industrial relations not just among themselves but also with the government and employers to ensure success in developing the country.
He added that MTUC is a body which represents unionised members of the Malaysian Family and said that it was always seen as a good partner of the government.
