Can you not name restaurants with the no_children_policy, I would like to know the names, as they would get my business, I don't want noisey children disturbing me having a meal This was like a fishing trip the caught fish keeps growing, it started with a cpl restaurants & grew

Starving she claims 😂 I think kids who have went to bed with very little or no evening meal are classified as starving not yours because of restaurants policy’s

'restaurants' lol. They mean pubs...

MrRCain2 I’ve been to Belfast many times with my three children. This has *never* been an issue for us?

At this time of year and with the Christmas Market on you would have to book in advance. But wit all the food stalls at the market and then the food hall in the shopping centre I don't see what the problem was. Why not name and shame the restaurants, this is an odd one

Please name restaurants refusing children so I may make a reservation 🤣

With or without children, if you didn’t have a booking you’d have no chance anyway

Why didn't they eat in the market? The main draw of it is all the food places.

Belfast controlled by the alcohol industry. 🍺

What nonsense is this I've a 1 and a 5 year old and never had an issue getting a family table in the city centre, places even accomodate gluten free for my coeliac 5 year old There's more to this story...

I’ve never had a problem going to restaurants with children the market has lots of food stalls was it a bar and after a certain time when kids wouldn’t be allowed if they were that hungry castle court has a food court and there is McDonalds the story seems made up for attention

I stopped reading at 'West Belfast'. didnthappen

One sided story so isn’t a reflection of what may have happened. Strangely the market is full of food stalls so why not go back and get something there is they were starving as claimed.

“Woman who doesn’t know how acute staff shortages and licensing works in the hospitality industry embarrasses herself on Facebook“

Belfast is an embarrassment to anyone who lives a normal life . Must clubs are THE 🌈 community clubs , bars sectarian, restaurants for the wokery brigade. Belfast is not family friendly, family oriented or balanced. Only family they want are same sex family . Don’t go to Belfast

I couldn’t name seven restaurants in the city centre never mind seven that would refuse children.

Really hard to know what to make of this story when none of these restaurants are named. I've never had a problem and there are loads of kid friendly restaurants in Belfast. You do need to book in advance.

Dave25720402 tell them what happened when you turned up holding hands with your partner. You got turned away as well, your partner was very upset, he insisted on going straight home. His night ruined and you couldn't console him. BelfastPride !

I call BS.

People don't want children yakkin all over the place while trying to enjoy their meal.

Empty seats at a restaurant doesn't mean those seats aren't reserved for soon afterwards. Very hard to get into most Belfast venues without a booking these days, especially for groups. Few put 'reserved' signs on tables, they have a 'please wait' at the door.

Should have tried Fish City

What a disgrace, why are they refusing children entrance to their restaurants etc. It's people like the children's families that are keeping them going. Awful 😖
