Palomino, Brownell and Brownell’s attorney did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the lawsuit, filed this week in Bexar County District Court. Emails obtained by the Express-News from USDA indicate several problems arose during CRE8AD8’s contract period, which ran from May 15 to June 30, 2020. The company was one of the few participants in the Food Box program whose contracts were not renewed for its second phase.
