With a couple of days until the Super Bowl, things are getting busy around the Valley.
The Super Bowl Experience at the Phoenix Convention Center opened Thursday for its second three-day run. The previous weekend, more than 70,000 people visited the attraction, according toOnly one other Super Bowl city — Indianapolis — has had higher attendance during the first few days of the Super Bowl Experience, O’Reilly said. Phoenix officials hope to break Indianapolis’ record with the most people attending Super Bowl Experience by the end of the week.
The separate Super Bowl Experience at Hance Park is free and features food trucks, vendors and free concerts including Jimmy Eat World and the Gin Blossoms on Feb. 9,on Feb. 10 and Major Lazer Soundsystem on Feb. 11. Then a Super Bowl watch party will be held at the downtown Phoenix park on Sunday. Both Super Bowl Experience events are expected to draw thousands of people each day to the downtown area.
