It went bust in December

A former employee of a pie manufacturer in Darwen has been awarded a payment after taking his ex-employer to a tribunal.

However, the disgruntled ex-employee might struggle to recoup any of the unpaid wages as documents filed with Companies House show that The Real Lancashire Pie Company Ltd went into liquidation in December. At the time company accounts show it owed a total of £342,973.05 to suppliers and in unpaid taxes.The company, which previously operated under the names Darwen Bakery Services Limited and The Real Lancs Pie Company, was first set up in October 2009.
