Sony is worried its players might '[lose] confidence in PlayStation as a go-to venue to play Call of Duty' if Microsoft gets its hands on the series.

, Sony asks regulators to consider one thing: What if Microsoft outright sabotaged COD on PlayStation?

Sony says you can't take Microsoft's recent contract spree—which has seen the company commit to bringingfor at least ten years if the Activision acquisition goes through—as a sign that it will operate in good faith, either. In fact,"any behavioural commitment from Microsoft to grant rivals access to Call of Duty could pose a greater, not lesser, risk for consumers," says Sony.

To be fair to Sony, it does note that these issues could crop up even"without an active decision on the part of Microsoft to degrade Call of Duty on PlayStation" and instead"result simply from Microsoft’s differing incentives post-transaction as compared to an independent Activision".

Sony has so many amazing IPs to offer and they are just wasting them

Yea? Who gives a fuck?

Sony just making themselves look terrible throughout this whole thing. Hypocrite babies

Bruh, I lost confidence after PS3

I don't ever see myself playing cod on Xbox, I've had almost every cod on Playstation and I only really play xbox for its exclusive games like forza and halo

Sony don’t get a say as they can’t afford to buy them. They should be grateful MS don’t tell them just to fuck off.

This is a werid narrative to push , cod is and has been on a downfall, Sony could care less , I’m sure this wasn’t a true shot at Microsoft what would the point be, to look nervous.

Sony's piss poor anti-consumer decisions made me lose faith in Playstation, nothing to do with Xbox.

sony é um lixo

All is needed is a playstation launcher on PC that would let PC players have their games on it like on Steam and exclusives

Well they are Microsoft. They can’t even put a decent OS out in sequence. 95 good, 98 meh, 2000 ok, xp great, 7 great, 8 skip, 10-bad then good, 11 is the new 8.

I lost confidence in Sony when they stopped making good games after the ps2.

so they're worried people buys a playstation only to play call of duty

Sony worrying about games not being on their platform anymore while at the same time holding many franchises hostage as playstation exclusives will never not be hilarious to me.

Yea, they can f... off. Sony is super anti consumer anyways

From what i have been seeings lots if multi platform games have issues on ps5. You often read about issues that are only on playstation, updates are often later. Not weird i guess because its different in design. But saying that bugs might be introduced seems a bit...

If Call of duty is out of the Sony market, good for me, if Microsoft want and try to achieve more player by doing that it’s their lost. Also their game suck and lack in diversity.

Can someone actually just tell Jim Ryan to shut up. He hasn't been well liked within the Playstation community already and now saying the really stupid stuff recently. No Microsoft will not screw up the PS ports of Call of Duty. If that was a case,Minecraft would be a mess.

I lost confidence in Sony when they couldn’t meet the supply demand for the PS5. It’s better now but harder to justify spending $600 on something my Xbox X does already.

If their machine was better why would they be worried?

block the deal seriously. use ur head. microsoft should not be allowed to pay $69 billion to buy anything. its a monopoly. we dont want microsoft controlling how much developers get paid, which games get made.... its all wrong netflix is not good for the film industry.

Time to make your own, COD days are numbered anyways

And I'm worried that I can't play Sony games on Xbox consoles. I believe that in this way I can lose trust in them...

They're literally just throwing assumptions at the wall. Assumptions that are actually seriously arguing Microsoft is going to purposefully tank one of the biggest video game franchises of all time...for, what, shits and giggles?

The playstation has an advantage as a plug and play device. However that increasingly gets marginalised as cross platform becomes mainstream. PCs/laptops/tablets offer advantages such as hardware options and cost, together with customisation in display and re-shading.

Nothing new. Sony whining again

Again, Sony seems to think it's the job of the CMA to protect its business or bottom line. It's very bizarre to see.

I personally lost confidence in PS when they started porting everything to PC. Like there is no point on owning a PS5 nowadays. Great console but no games.

No need to worry. COD is recycled trash for bros, hoes, and children that don't receive attention from their parents.

😂

Sony fans are loyal to PlayStation for more than just one franchise. I believe they will continue to have confidence in the platform, regardless of who owns Call of Duty. PlayStation CallOfDuty

Why do I only hear public statements from Sony when they’re bitching?

Uhhhh, PCs have existed long enough Sony. Adapt.

Sony claims Microsoft could 'place a rake on the floor while we were distracted, so we step on it and get hit in the face with the wooden handle'

They lost me as a 'go to' player when that womans nudes got passed around the activision office until she sewerslided🤷🏽‍♀️

Bring back SOCOM!

have they considered making their own call of duty with blackjack and hookers you know what, forget the call of duty
