Anheuser-Busch is expected to lay off hundreds of employees as the company continues to battle backlash from its controversial partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

For the second month in a row, Bud Light has failed to recapture its position as the top-selling domestic beer, and a recent statement from a company official disclosed that close to 2% of its total domestic workforce is set to be laid off, according to a report. The company has"more than 19,000 employees nationwide," according to Anheuser-Busch.However, front-line positions, including warehouse and brewery workers, are not expected to be impacted, the company said.

"While we never take these decisions lightly, we want to ensure that our organization continues to be set for future long-term success," Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth said in a statement. "These corporate structure changes will enable our teams to focus on what we do best — brewing great beer for everyone."

The beatdown of the iconic beer brand continues as conservatives throughout the United States boycott Anheuser-Busch products. Many on the Right remain furious that Bud Light, once viewed by many as the"all-American beer," went"woke" and allowed Mulvaney, a biological male who identifies as female, to promote its product while dressed like Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Since the numbers began crashing, Anheuser-Busch executives have been scrambling to find solutions with new ad campaigns and promotions.
