James and Johanna Windon emptied their savings in 2021 to open a French fry bar in North Carolina. On Friday, they landed a big “Shark Tank”…

When James and Johanna Windon launched Buena Papa two years ago, they had just $18 in their bank account.

Despite no prior restaurant experience, the pair"invested our life savings $40,000," leaving just $18 behind, James said. Four weeks later, their fries went viral on TikTok, he noted — and the attention brought in plenty of paying customers. "Running a restaurant is a hard business. Once you franchise, you're in a second business ... the babysitting business," Cuban said."If you guys were just in this, I was interested, but you're in two different businesses. I think that's going to crush you. I'm out."
