A Texas House committee is considering a $1.5B border wall investment following a request from Gov. Abbott; the bill would add 100-110 miles of wall.

In the hours-long hearing, Representatives took up House Bill 7, authored by Rep. Jacey Jetton, R-Richmond, which would make that allocation of $1.5 billion to the border wall. During the regular legislative session, the legislature approved more than $5 billion in investments toward border security.
