A statement by Lawal’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, explained that Tinubu spoke with the Governor on the sidelines of Sallah homage visit by some governors and leadership of the National Assembly led by Vice President Kashim Shettima to the President’s residence in Lagos. “President Tinubu assured the Governor that he is committed to ending the menace of banditry in the state adding that he had ordered a sustained military onslaught and deployment of more troops to Zamfara State.
