It's been years in the making: Aireon is launching the world's first airline surveillance system with '100% surveillance of all equipped aircrafts in the world,' the company's CEO said.

Aireon CEO Don Thoma joins "Squawk Alley" to discuss his company's new airline surveillance tool. It tracks aircraft from satellites rather than through ground-based systems.
