Two people have been captured on CCTV breaking into a bakery on the Esplanade at Christies Beach, in South Australia but escaping with less than $100. The pair pulled up to Espy Bakehouse in an allegedly stolen red Mitsubishi Magna sedan about 1.40am on Monday.

Brazen bakery break-in captured on CCTV. The two suspects captured on security footage appear to try the back door first, before heading to the front of the business and smashing through the glass door with a brick. During a minute-long dash through the bakery, they scrounged $90 from the till and then fled the scene in the Magna, which was later dumped in Morphett Vale. The car, which was reported stolen from Reynella East on Sunday, has since been returned to its owner.
