If you've not managed to find the perfect Christmas gift just yet don't panic, one of Glasgow's most iconic markets is offering not one, not two, but four days of festive market fun. That's right, The Barras has announced it is set to host a huge Christmas market weekender in the lead-up to Christmas Day, with the famous venue on London Road, confirming the celebration will feature holiday shopping, entertainment, and delicious street food.

Taking place in the lead up to the big day, the event will run this weekend through to midnight (yes, you read that right) on Christmas Eve on Tuesday. Taking to social media to announce the event, the team posted: 'Get ready for an unforgettable festive experience at The Barras Market BIG Christmas Weekend! Join us for four consecutive days of holiday shopping, entertainment, and delicious street food, along with some extra special surprises.' Here is everything you need to know. When does The Barras Christmas Market run? It runs from this Saturday, December 21 through to Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24). Is it free to attend? Yes, it is completely free. What are the times the market will be open? Saturday: 10am until 5pm Sunday: 10am until 5pm Monday: 10am until 5pm Tuesday: 10am until midnight - this is the big one when everyone really has a party atmosphere as has become tradition now every year for the traders. What can you expect at the Christmas market? There will be a visit from Santa’s Sleigh from around 1 pm on Saturday, where you can meet Santa himself, and the market will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland with festive lighting and decorations. As always you can expect plenty of stalls offering hundreds of items including festive themed options and a fist full of excellent gifting ideas, stocking fillers and toys for the wee ones
