MoviePass sold a subscription service theater access at lower price, sold to chains hoping to increase attendance in relatively empty locations. It didn’t change attendance patterns, just made crowded rooms more crowded and repeat viewing from low spending bargain hunters.

I'll never understand why people are still using this service. The company is trash.
