“We removed all the need for manual ordering and the pushy sales people and instead brought it all online,” Evan Montero, co-founder of DIY Blinds, said. “We’re playing catch-up a bit,” Liam Dobson, co-founder at DIY Blinds, said. “We were overwhelmed with demand during the first wave of COVID-19, and we’ve had people working hard day and night to fulfil the orders, but now we have the money for some breathing space.”
Throughout the lifecycle of DIY Blinds, the team has been approached several times by venture capitalists and private equity looking to invest, alongside acquisition proposals from international furniture retailers.
