Smith coordinates with HR and leadership to strengthen Vista Bank’s DEI hiring, onboarding, and retention practices and programs. Within his work, he spearheads the company’s partnership with Dallas Carter HS, impacting approximately 14,000 people in 2022 through financial literacy training and contributing over $8M to low-to-moderate income areas across Texas.Vista was recently approved for a new location in South Dallas that will host area organizations and a financial literacy center.
How important is a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce to your company’s success, and how do you keep that at the forefront? The bank is expanding to South Dallas to not only show people “how to fish” but also to build internship programs and utilize career training opportunities to inspire a diverse group of people to seek jobs in the financial sector.
