Maimane calls for nationwide march against high living costs via SABCNewsOnline

Speaking at a DA press briefing in Johannesburg, Maimane also referred to last week's rolling blackouts as Eskom struggled to fix generating units at some power stations.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane is calling on South Africans to join the party for a nationwide march on Friday against the high cost of living. This as electricity and fuel prices are to increase on the first of next month. Speaking at a DA press briefing in Johannesburg, Maimane also referred to last week’s rolling blackouts as Eskom struggled to fix generating units at some power stations.

He says he has written to National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete requesting that Parliament reconvene urgently to deal with the Eskom power crisis and for an ad hoc committee to be established.

Wena Maimane stop acting like a saint trying to win cheap votes cos we now wena u du aford, so stop acting poorer wena coconut

Why marching 8 May is around the corner

From a party that adhere to liberal democracy! Mmmmm! Sounds inconsistent.....

Desperate Measures Shame DA yazama mpaya tlholega

Awu.. doesn't he know who to talk to..or where to go to address this problem?

Let him bring his parliament caucus and march for 2 days. We will join him on the 3rd day. We are tired of marching for them.

Only those who sleep with full stomach and fat salaries will talk rubbish Maimane is right our living costs are too high some of us can't afford them as we don't have an income government is killing us trying to fix their own mess SARS, ESKOM, TRANSNET & SAA now we must pay?

We are going to elections yena usabusy ngama march🤷🏿‍♀️

Hi thanks that will vote for National Party.

The average South African cannot afford to lose another business day this month in the wake of the time lost to load-shedding but yeah let’s give up our Friday for a pointless march! DidNotThinkThisThrough

This was only possible bcos u all hated JZ

What impact will it make if u mach , instead of coming up with something positive to change the situation.

Guluva for himself tsotsi, you will be alone on that march.

then will they come down

Maimane focus on the elections campaign or you are satisfied with the 10% that the DA is gonna get. Aybo.

South Africans needs this! Living costs are sky high and salaries low. Businesses are buckling under the severe running costs and many locals takes to the streets to beg. But the taxes and levies increases daily, S.A has very hard task masters who corrupted their ways with greed

His solution is a march?

The reason for high living cost is because we dont have our land back, our land is still owned by the white minority....so stop wasting our time.

Mxm....

So Moroti MmusiMaimane that's the solution? A March? yazi this Kak fela

We don’t need a march, we need solutions .We don’t need to go back and forth on which party did what, we want solutions. The DA loves pointing out the negatives qha , and then after that Sithini? Don’t say you bringing change , tell us how? Explain your implementation plan.

He must start with the property pricing in Cape Town
