Marikina to open new public market for displaced vendors

MANILA - The city government of Marikina will open a new market this year as the city removes vendors from sidewalks and streets in compliance with the national government's orders.

Teodoro added that by building public market zones in the city, Marikina's streets and sidewalks will be free from obstruction from ambulant vendors. “Ang sidewalk vendors ay problemang ekonomiya kaya dapat economic din ang solusyon. Ito ay ang bigyan sila ng micro financing,” he said.
