Cult director Matt Johnson recreates the Crackberry days with this compelling tale of tech hubris

Glenn Howerton, Jay Baruchel, Matt Johnson, Rich Sommer, Michael Ironside, Martin Donovan, Michelle Giroux, SungWon Cho, Mark Critch, Saul Rubinek, Cary ElwesBig-brand biopics are the most pervasive movie trend of 2023, with movies on everything from crisp flavours to cuddly collectables offering a shortcut to recognisable intellectual properties, without the multi-billion dollar acquisition price tag.

The tumble towards 0 per cent market share is swift, however, and – cue a neat Shakespearean flaw – predicated on a key betrayal of the company’s engineering principles.
