A middle school teacher in Oakland has started teaching his students about financial literacy through a stock market game.Middle school math teacher Chris Lynch has a unique way of educating his students about financial literacy.Every student gets $100,000 in pretend money. Lynch, who teaches at St. Theresa School in the Upper Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland, said they play the game for about two months, then see how they did.
"He makes the class so fun and everyone feels kind of involved," said seventh grade student Christiane Zuber.
California Schools have been utilizing the stock market game for over 40 years. Very educational and exciting.
