A Brampton, Ont.-based company has announced an agreement with an unnamed tech partner to deploy a cannabis cultivation system called PHOENIX that it claims can produce higher yields and lower overhead costs.

“We’ve observed and given input to the evolution of the system over the last four years and are constantly amazed at the yield, and consistency of the results,” Chief Operating Officer Mark Novak said in a press release. “We are proud to have been part of its evolution and are very excited at the prospect of using the technology.”

— CannabCo July 30, 2019CannabCo lists a roster of claims for PHOENIX, including that the system will reduce production costs to just $0.50 per gram, produce “top shelf” product and “repeatable and consistent grow results,” and provide a supposed annual yield per square foot of over 1000 grams.
