The Business Council of Australia has warned that the termination of a wages agreement for McDonald's staff will leave workers and the business worse-off | AnnaPattySMH

The Business Council of Australia has warned that the termination of a wages agreement for McDonald's staff will leave workers and the business worse-off.

Business Council chief executive Jennifer Westacott said on Sunday the termination of the McDonald’s EBA is the latest example of the demise of enterprise bargaining in Australia."This is resulting in both business and workers being left clearly worse-off,” she said. “This outcome benefits no one and is a further example of the urgent need to fix Australia’s enterprise bargaining system.”

"The SDA always feared that a return to the award would result in less security for permanent workers – fewer hours and less pay."

AnnaPattySMH We don't need McDonald's in Australia- their food makes people stupid. Eat at McDonalds daily and you'll end up in a mental hospital.

AnnaPattySMH So was this some petty tit for tat internal stoush between individuals that then resulted in this outcome? I don’t understand why this was allowed to happen if it’s not in workers best interests. Who’s pulling the strings & why?
