This should be labeled opinion not merely perpectives.

Stop calling CNN a News Network

AKimCampbell Facebook is eating CNN’s lunch. Most people don’t like people eating their lunch but it is a part of the reality of technological disruption. The real villains are the political entities that buy the info from third parties that are nothing to do with Facebook. Facebook’s OK

he has conscience?

facebook is a spy dark net using technology

The article seems unfinished. OK, they're an ad company, we should treat them like one. So? Paid content would be advertising, user content would be a chat room. Just make sure we know which one is which and it's all good. Aren't they doing that?

Democrats will prevail with Mass Migration. The US will be under the UN.

Facebook is also greatest app its on us how we use it.

Nobody calls it that. It's not a tech company, it's a social media company. Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, AMD are tech companies.

believes facebook shouldn't be labeled a 'tech company'; strong words when shouldn't be labeled as a free press news outlet.

Have never used, & will never use it. The concept of Facebook is to have your 5 mins. of celebrity while paying for scrapping your privacy !

Suckerberg a Russian

To hold CNN responsible, quit calling Illegal immigrants, undocumented. Try using your own advice.

How about you just put the boy con-man in jail where he belongs? He lied straight-faced to Congress. Put this POS in jail. When will the rest of us see that the laws actually apply to everyone and not just the poor. Justice is supposed to be blind, but not stupid.

is social MEDIA - and it's not accountable for anything - no fiduciary duty at all - we need to acknowledge that

Like a little boy who got in trouble at school

Accountable for what? You use their product to spread gossip and pictures of food. Maybe pets on a good day. Why are people bitching about Facebook? Stop using it if you don’t like it. If you are not that smart, we can’t help you anyway.

Wow Liberals starting to turn on each other.

Sell facebook stock if you have it, I did

All of you are well mannered.

Well If they want to be a 'social media' outlet. Then First Amendment Rights should be observed. No more banning anyone for disagreeing with an opinion.

So let’s bring down one of America’s most successful companies because of unfounded hysteria. Stupid.

Has it occurred to anyone that Facebook is not something we “have” to participate in? Hold them accountable for what? We are the product! We willingly signed up to be the product!

“Facebook sucks, but I’ll still use it because I run with the sheep.” -Anyone still using Facebook.

To hold CNN accountable, stop calling it a media source. HateSpeech

It's a datamining company also

Or sane people could stop using it! Best decision I ever made!

AND STOP USING IT

Years ago, DOD made the bad decision to allow military and government employees to open accounts at work. After I told my leadership that it was a very bad decision, I was told to shut up and color.

Maybe both - it is a tech company, but it is also something that does not yet have a category. Its access to information that bothers me most. I, for example, cannot control malicious or other code in Java that get use my data.

Facebook is low-tech, not hi-tech.

It's a glorified website. It's about time people put it in perspective.

It’s merely a website selling ads.

so if they aren't a tech company what are they ? a utility? By calling it a utility it would open up FB to charging for its service the same would go for twatter and instagram. If any of them became a pay for use personally i would use the one month free and wipe all my data

It's not a tech company. It's like the National Enquirer of social media.

This is a perfect situation use the antitrust law and split Facebook.

这个公司和科技没什么联系

Ok let’s not call cnn a news channel to hold it accountable...see how stupid that sounds?

I feel sorry for everybody still on FB and equally, I feel sorry for everybody that has an Android anything. ✌️

To hold CNN accountable, stop calling it the news.

Why is Facebook stock listed on NASDAQ? Hmm?

Same with Google and their communist overlords!

Yea

It is not

Yes lets call it a publisher and open up the lawsuits

Perspective | Dear tech companies, I don’t want to see pregnancy ads after my child was stillbornIf your algorithms are smart enough to realize that I was pregnant, or that I’ve given birth, then surely they can be smart enough to realize that my baby died, and advertise to me accordingly — or maybe, just maybe, not at all. Get therapy. They are not smart enough. I'm sorry for your loss, but the algorithms you are referencing are not some super intelligent AI that is closely watching you, no matter much it may seem like that. They are just dumb pattern matches with access to limited information about you. This is a disgrace and we are working on it. This acceleration in use of internet, smart phones, machine learning, etc. is recent. We do not steal your data, we just look for clues and try to give you the best possible experience. As our models mature, it'll get better. Sorry 😇

Facebook denies it let other tech companies misuse personal dataFacebook denied that its dozens of 'partners' were able to misuse Facebook users' personal data, but it didn't address explosive new allegations that it gave those companies far broader access to private data than it has previously acknowledged. Sounds like a bunch of fancy talk to me. Not surprising Umm why would we believe it all. The adds that are pushed on us on a daily basis go back to the very thing we just looked at 5 minutes before ?
