REUTERS: U.S. stocks opened marginally higher on Thursday, as investors assessed warnings from major central banks about a global slowdown and looked ahead to the start of the corporate earnings season.Advertisement

The S&P 500 opened higher 3.71 points, or 0.13per cent, to 2,891.92. The Nasdaq Composite gained 10.95 points, or 0.14per cent, to 7,975.20 at the opening bell.
