The Dallas nonprofit strives to redesign spaces for families struggling with homelessness and poverty.

Dwell with Dignity is one of the companies being honored with this year’s Leader in Diversity Awards. ClickDwell with Dignity is tiny but mighty. With a team of 11, the company is mostly comprised of women and includes African American, Hispanic, and Jewish representation.

But their mission continues to grow beyond single-use spaces. In 2022, Dwell with Dignity completed 10 community space projects, which impacted 14,000 members of the Dallas community, predominantly diverse populations. The nonprofit also designed 12 spaces for Community Does It, a Dallas nonprofit focused on bringing equitable access to public health, which included multiple therapy rooms, a multi-use community room, a reception area, offices, and more at their Buckner Bazaar location, which gives the local Hispanic community access to affordable mental health services.

“We strive to ensure our workplace is truly welcoming and supportive of all individuals, with a focus on creating a safe and equitable environment for everyone,” the company said. “By doing so, Dwell with Dignity can continue to transform the lives of those we serve by fostering real and lasting change in our communities.”
